Moms Clean Air Force, together with the WV Climate Alliance, Lauds Biden’s Breakthrough Climate and Environmental Justice Actions: The president’s actions move our families toward a healthier, more stable future

Charleston, WV – The West Virginia Climate Alliance, of which Moms Clean Air Force is a member, issued a statement today in support of President Biden’s January 27, 2021, Executive Orders to address the climate crisis. During his speech today, President Biden vowed to invest in coal communities.

“Any climate change policy needs to ensure that we achieve meaningful reductions in greenhouse gases while at the same time protecting vulnerable populations including coal miners, their communities and people of color. We look forward to working with the West Virginia Congressional delegation to achieve protection of the earth’s climate and the state’s workers and their families,” said spokesperson Perry Bryant of the Climate Alliance.

The West Virginia Climate Alliance is a broad-based, West Virginia-focused coalition of environmental, faith-based, civil rights, and civic organizations, with special outreach to young adults, in order to address the climate crisis.
