Catherine Garcia Flowers is a first-generation American and a big picture thinker. As the Houston field organizer for Moms Clean Air Force, Catherine leverages her experience as a social entrepreneur and disaster specialist to mobilize fence-line communities impacted by air pollution and climate change to call for action at all levels of government.
Having experienced the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, where she served under the Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana, Catherine was perfectly positioned to help when Hurricane Harvey hit her adopted hometown of Houston. Through her work with public-private partnerships, she assisted more than 150,000 individuals impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
