Angela Youngblood is a writer, blogger, vlogger and freelance video editor. She manages her own blog, Jumping With My Fingers Crossed, where she writes about family and all of life’s ups and downs with honesty and humor. This metro Detroit mom has four children under the age of 10 which keep her very busy. Those four children are also a huge reason Angela decided to get involved with Moms Clean Air Force. She wants to do whatever she can to fight for kids’ health.
Why did you get involved? I got involved because MCAF makes it easy to become involved. With initiatives like Naptime Activisim, they help make it comfortable and less overwhelming.
Why do you care about clean air? Um, who doesn’t care about clean air? We all take it for granted, as we do so many things in life. Really having kids helped me refocus my gratitude. Becoming a mother and thinking beyond myself, beyond my life made me care more. And watching The Lorax.
What drew you to MCAF? Honestly, it was the web site. I have friends that are involved, but once I read the blogs, the articles and the interviews, I felt so inspired to go deeper with MCAF.
What have you done as an MCAF volunteer?
One major thing I have done is change my attitude. I am less afraid and feel more empowered. Instead of turning down the volume when global warming reports are on the news, I listen and know that I can do something to make a difference. I can work with MCAF and help create positive change.
Thank you, Angela!
