Play-In For Climate Action Brings Moms And Kids To Washington

BY ON July 14, 2014

Play-In for Climate Action at the US Capitol

With heart and soul, mothers and children from across the country rose to a momentous challenge — to ask Congress to take meaningful action against climate change.

Over 200 parents joined Moms Clean Air Force and partners, Alliance of Nurses for Healthy EnvironmentClimate ParentsHealthy Child, Healthy World, and The Mothers Project United for Sustainability on the US Capitol grounds for a historic PLAY-IN for Climate Action.

Moms know that kids can’t sit still, so we created a PLAY-IN, chockful of fun activities for kids, a kid-friendly press conference with US Senators and inspiring speakers, and a march to the Capital, where parents delivered a message from families across the country: Make a commitment to our country’s children — get serious about climate change and fight for cleaner, safer energy.

The overwhelming success of our PLAY-IN proves that there’s movement is afoot – a mom movement to end climate change. Be on the right side of history; JOIN MOMS CLEAN AIR FORCE and let Congress see the true face of climate change – our precious children.

“We have some very big polluters who are polluting our planet. We have those same polluters who are polluting our democracy with a lot of money and a lot of influence. And up against those big polluters, we have the Moms Clean Air Force. And I want to tell you that my money is on the moms.” ~ Senator Sheldon Whitehouse
