SUMMARY:Fueling Disaster: How Rescinding the Endangerment Finding Would Worsen Petrochemical Disasters
DESCRIPTION:Join Moms Clean Air Force Director and Co-Founder Dominique Browning for several expert interviews about how the Trump Environmental Protection Agency’s proposal to rescind the Endangerment Finding would worsen petrochemical disasters\, increase pollution\, and devastate communities. Petrochemical expert Cynthia Palmer will also discuss her new analysis about these catastrophic risks which will be published during the webinar. \nFor context\, the Endangerment Finding is the legal & scientific foundation of EPA’s ability to regulate climate emissions. If the Trump EPA succeeds in their effort to rescind the Endangerment Finding\, it would do catastrophic harm to frontline communities and to the climate we leave for future generations all while letting polluters off the hook. \nBut\, there’s still time to fight back. The EPA is taking public comments until September 22\, and we’ll make sure you leave the webinar empowered to submit your own and make your voice heard. \nRegister here.

SUMMARY:Howard County\, Maryland Council Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we gather with coalition partners to show strong community backing for CB11-2025\, a bill that would prohibit companies in PEC zones (industrial areas near residential neighborhoods) from engaging in experimental plastic “recycling” processes that could produce harmful emissions. \nThis legislation builds on the momentum we started last year\, and we need to show up again to ensure it passes. A packed room will demonstrate to the County Council that residents demand stronger environmental protections. \nWhy This Matters:\n\nCB11-2025 will prevent plastics recycling in PEC-zoned areas (industrial sites near residential neighborhoods).\nStrong community turnout is essential to getting this bill passed.\nShowing up in numbers sends a clear message that Howard County prioritizes clean air and public health.\n\nHow You Can Help:\n\nAttend the hearing – Arrive by 6:30 PM to get settled and connect with other supporters.\nWear red – A visible show of support will help council members see how many people stand behind this bill.\nBring friends\, family\, and neighbors – The more people in the room\, the greater our impact.\n\nSign up here to give testimony.

SUMMARY:Tell the EPA: Strong Soot Protections Now!
DESCRIPTION:Moms Clean Air Force will join our partners at the Climate Action Campaign for a press event at EPA Headquarters about the proposed soot standard on March 28\, the last day of the soot comment period. \nSoot\, aka particle pollution or PM2.5\, is a dangerous pollutant that comes from many sources\, including power plants\, cars and trucks\, diesel engines\, and wildfires. Soot pollution is one of the leading causes of premature death worldwide\, contributing to tens of thousands of deaths per year in the United States alone. \nEPA’s proposed standards for soot don’t go far enough to protect our children and communities from avoidable harms. Join us in calling on EPA to finalize soot pollution standards that follow the science and protect our children. \nLearn more and RSVP here.

There will be ample opportunity for Q&A. \nRSVP here to receive a link to join.
