We are the nurturers, the cheerleaders, the teammates, and the bedtime-enforcers. We are the voices of reason, the boundary-setters, the shake-it-off-and-move-on encouragers, the spread-your-wings-and-fly cheerleaders.
We do it day after day – at home, at work, at school, and at city hall.
We do it for one of the greatest challenges our children face: Climate change.
And it is precisely the skills we’ve honed as mothers that will lead us through this crisis, toward the solutions that we so need right now: Clean energy, clean air, clean jobs, and a safe future for all our children.
On this Mother’s Day, we are so grateful for all that you bring to this fight. And we invite you to join us this summer for our 6th annual Play-In for Climate Action.
On July 11, 2019, parents and kids from across the country will gather near the US Capitol in Washington, DC, to call for climate action. This family-friendly protest against the air pollution that causes dangerous climate change showcases exactly what’s at stake as temperatures and sea levels rise: our kids.
The Play-In for Climate Action will include exciting speakers, kids’ activities and music by Latin-GRAMMY-award-winning children’s musician, Mister G. We’d love to see you there.
For all we do, on Mother’s Day and everyday, let’s celebrate the power of MOMS.
