Lansing Mayor Andy Schor and other local leaders, including State Rep. Julie Brixie, David Kieve, EDF Action President, and Elizabeth Hauptman, Field Coordinator, Moms Clean Air Force, will gather for a press conference to showcase the recent $8 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. This funding, part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), supports the Michigan Capitol Area Regional EV Charging Gateway Initiative, aimed at dramatically expanding electric vehicle infrastructure in the region.
Thanks to Senators Stabenow and Peters and President Biden’s work to pass the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), Michigan families and communities are reaping the rewards of the clean energy transition.
This event will be livestreamed to Facebook here.
