Virtual Screening of Unbreathable: The Fight for Healthy Air

April 28, 2021
12:00 pm
- 1:30 pm

The American Lung Association is soon to release its 22nd Annual State of the Air Report that assesses air quality across the US. In the past, the Phoenix metro area has ranked 7th in the nation.

Join Columba Sainz, Moms Clean Air Force Arizona organizer and Phoenix resident, for a virtual screening of Unbreathable, hosted by Arizona State University, the American Lung Association, and the City of Phoenix. The 30-minute film weaves historical milestones of our critical health law, the Clean Air Act, with stories of environmental injustice and community action. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Columba, along with Jennifer Vanos, Assistant Professor, ASU School of Sustainabilty, and Nancy Allen, Manager, Office of Environmental Programs, City of Phoenix. The discussion will be moderated by Jon Ford, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Vitalyst Health Foundation.
