On November 1, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) will join Moms Clean Air Force and our partners to call on EPA to enact robust standards to safeguard our children from all sources of oil and gas methane pollution.
We need comprehensive standards that prioritize the well-being of our families. Pollution from the oil and gas industry significantly increases the risk of asthma attacks, leukemia in children, and adverse birth outcomes, particularly preterm births. Plus, methane is a potent climate pollutant. Cutting methane pollution is a pivotal step in averting worst-case climate scenarios and securing a better future for our children.
