The Human Connection Between Climate & Health Equity

May 27, 2021
5:30 pm
- 6:30 pm EDT

Join Moms Clean Air Force and our partners for a Facebook Live round table conversation on the intersection between climate and health equity.

Our expert panelists will connect the real-life impact of climate change on human health with Georgians’ day-to-day well-being.

Moderated by Moms Clean Air Force’s Georgia organizer Almeta Cooper, and featuring:
– Dr. Yolanda Whyte, an Atlanta physician who specializes in environmental health and focuses on the health impacts of environmental pollution and the health benefits of safe, sustainable, and low-carbon solutions;
– Dr. Maisha Standifer, Director of Health Policy for the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine, whose work focuses on improving the health of under-resourced, racially and ethnically vulnerable populations; and
– Ms. Tracy Sprinkle Dawson, a metro Atlanta mother, wife, and health care lawyer whose energetic nine-year-old, Kyle, was diagnosed with mild persistent asthma in early childhood.

This dynamic program is co-sponsored by Sierra Club Georgia Chapter and Georgia Interfaith Power & Light.
