The Department of Interior’s Role in Restoring Our Earth & Georgia

April 22, 2021
12:00 pm
- 1:00 pm

On March 18, 2021, Representative Deb Haaland was confirmed as the Secretary of the Interior Department, making her the first Native American to lead an agency that manages a vast portfolio of federal land and the oil & mineral wealth that lies beneath it.

As part of Earth Day’s global theme of “Restore our Earth,” the Georgia Table of the Climate Action Campaign Coalition seeks to heighten awareness of the Department of Interior’s intent to take bold action to preserve public lands and waters, and invest in clean energy, and discuss its importance to residents here in Georgia.

Please join us for this important Earth Day conversation featuring DOI Regional Environmental Office Joyce A. Stanley, National Parks Conservation Association’s VP of Regional Programs David Lafrom, Moms Clean Air Force Field Organizer Shaina Oliver, and Tonya Calhoun, PhD, National Field Manager for Moms Clean Air Force.
