Roadmap to Oil and Gas Protections Webinar Series: Part 3

Communities across Western Pennsylvania remain vulnerable to the impacts of fracking and fossil fuel infrastructure projects, even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Local land use rules are sacrosanct to local government. That essential local authority has been underscored, multiple times, by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. And yet, there remain some local communities that have woefully outdated oil and gas ordinances on the books—and others without any at all.

On October 22, community members from three different communities where new or updated oil and gas ordinances and engagement have become more protective will be sharing important lessons learned.
