Protecting Our First Environment: Tackling the Black Maternal Health Crisis

April 27, 2023
6:00 pm
- 7:00 pm EDT

On April 27, Moms Clean Air Force will join our partners at Black Millennials 4 Flint, the Climate Action Campaign, and EDF for a Green Table Talk on the topic “Protecting Our First Environment: Tackling the Black Maternal Health Crisis.”  The US is facing a maternal mortality crisis. In the richest nation on earth, moms are dying at the highest rate in the developed world. The crisis is most severe for Black moms in the US, who are dying at 3 to 4 times the rate of their white counterparts. This panel on Black maternal health will feature environmental justice activists, community organizers, and policy strategists who work to save Black mamas and Black babies.

Join us in person at MLK Library in Washington, DC, or on Facebook Live.
