August 18, 2022
12:00 pm
- 1:00 pm EDT

Join Moms Clean Air Force and our partners in Ohio for the August installment of the Ohio Environmental Justice Speaker Series. This series is an opportunity to hear from some of the most forward-thinking minds about how we can center the environment when we seek justice.

On August 18, our speakers will be Whitney Taylor Washington and Bev Reed. They will talk about the impacts of the waste incinerator in East Liverpool, Martins Ferry, petrochemicals, fracking, and more.

Register for this virtual event here.

About the speakers:

Whitney Taylor Washington is a longtime resident of East Liverpool and lives extremely close to the WTI Toxic Waste Incinerator. Whitney has taught math for East Liverpool Schools since 1998 and works closely with youth in the community. She is former President of the East Liverpool NAACP and serves on numerous boards and committees throughout Ohio.

Beverly Reed is a lifelong resident of the Ohio River Valley. She is a community organizer and cofounder of Concerned Ohio River Residents.
