First Anniversary of Shell’s Beaver County Plastic Plant Operation Press Conference

Moms Clean Air Force will join our partners at the Shell Accountability Campaign on November 15 for a press conference to mark the first anniversary of the operation of Shell’s Beaver County Plastic Plant. For one year, Shell has promised to be a good neighbor—but since opening last year, this plant has released illegal amounts of dangerous pollution, had dozens of malfunctions, and received 13 Notices of Violation. 

More must be done to provide the community with real time information during malfunctions. Moms Clean Air Force Ohio River Valley organizer Rachel Meyer, a local resident, will join the speakers at this event to demand that Shell be held accountable for polluting the community’s air and water. We will call on local elected officials and Beaver County Commissioners to do more to keep residents safe.
