EcoMadres Investigates: Impact & Regeneration: Climate Migration, LA Wildfires & Latino Community

February 25
9:00 am
- 10:00 am PST

With extreme weather events becoming more frequent and intense due to climate change, we’ll dive into how these crises intersect with existing racial and socioeconomic inequities, further exacerbating vulnerabilities. Our discussion will also highlight the urgent need for stronger people-centric climate resilience and adaptation strategies to address the growing threat of such disasters.

Our panel will be moderated by Karin Stein, Iowa Field Organizer for EcoMadres and Moms Clean Air Force, and will feature these distinguished experts:

  • Julie A. González, Ph.D., Environmental Justice Postdoctoral Fellow at American University Center for Environment, Community & Equity
  • Amy Tamayo, J.D., National Policy and Advocacy Director at Alianza Nacional de Campesinas
  • Yadira Sanchez, Executive Director of Poder Latinx
