This 1-hour panel will unpack the increasing threat of “Danger Season”—the period from May through October when climate hazards intensify and intersect. Based on new data and scientific insights from the Union of Concerned Scientists, we will explore why 2025 is shaping up to be more dangerous than ever, especially for Black, Brown, low-income, and other vulnerable communities. We’ll also examine the role of federal policy rollbacks and what must be done to protect families and public health, particularly for those least equipped to recover.
Speakers include:
Amanda Rosa, Extreme Weather Survivors
Perla Marvell, Yale Climate Connections en Espanol
Juan Declet-Barreto, Union of Concerned Scientists
