Moms Clean Air Force’s Senior Advisor, Heather McTeer Toney, will be a panelist on the Covering Climate Now interactive webinar on March 25 from 1:30 to 3:00pm CT. This event, focused on how the climate crisis will play out in the southern US, is for journalists who are new to the climate story. Panelists will provide resources and story ideas, an introduction to climate science, and an opportunity to talk shop with reporters and advocates from the area.
Climate change affects us all, but in many ways it’s personal: How the climate crisis will play out in one region is different from how it will play out in others, based on geographic, political, and cultural factors. In this webinar, we want to frame the conversation around the issues that matter most in the southern gulf states: intensifying hurricanes, more flooding downpours extreme heat, energy production, environmental racism in and outside of cities, health impacts related to climate and fossil fuels, and much more.
There will be plenty of time for Q&A.
This event is hosted by CCNow and Climate Matters in the Newsroom.
