Congresswoman Beatty, Health Expert, & Moms Discuss the Intersection Between Climate & Health Equity

May 17, 2022
12:00 pm
- 1:30 pm EDT

Join Moms Clean Air Force for a panel on “Clean Air, Climate, Health Equity—And Inequity: What Must Be Done For Our Children.” Climate change is a significant threat to the health of Ohioans—especially mothers and children of color. This online conversation will bring elected officials, moms, and an expert on the national racial disparity in birth outcomes together to discuss the intersection between climate and health equity. Panelists will discuss how environmental injustice impacts the health of Black mothers and children, the real-life impact of climate change to human health, and ways you can engage with lawmakers and health care experts to demand stronger protections from climate and air pollution.

Watch live on Facebook or Twitter at 12 PM ET.

The program will be moderated by Almeta Cooper, National Manager, Health Equity, Moms Clean Air Force, and will feature:

– Congresswoman Joyce Beatty
– State Representative Paula Hicks-Hudson
– Dr. Arthur James, MD
– Katrina Blasingame, Moms Clean Air Force Supermom
