Coffee & Climate Conversation: Indigenous People & Air Pollution in the US

June 23, 2023
1:00 pm
- 2:00 pm EDT

This summer, pour yourself a cup of (iced) coffee and join Moms Clean Air Force for a casual virtual conversation about important climate issues. Our Coffee & Climate Conversations are an opportunity speak directly with experts and meet other Moms Clean Air Force volunteers from across the country. Everyone is welcome.

Climate change is a significant threat to the health of Tribal communities in the US. During our June Coffee & Climate Conversation, we’ll hear from experts about how environmental injustice and the climate crisis impact the health of Indigenous peoples. We’ll provide immediate, tangible ways to take action to support environmental justice and clean air, and we’ll leave plenty of time for discussion and Q&A.

Speakers:

**Shaina Oliver, Colorado field advocacy consultant for Moms Clean Air Force, Tribal member of the Navajo Nation from Shiprock, New Mexico, and advocate for Indigenous peoples’ rights

**Dr. Judith Zelikoff, Professor in the Department of Medicine and Director for Community Outreach Environmental Medicine, NYU Grossman School of Medicine
