Join Moms Clean Air Force for a virtual panel discussion about “Clean Air, Climate, Health Equity—And Inequity: Indigenous and Tribal Communities” on June 21 at 3 PM ET.

Climate change is a significant threat to the health of Tribal communities in the US. This online conversation will bring together a panel of experts to discuss how environmental injustice and the climate crisis impact the health of Indigenous peoples.
Panelists include:

  • Dr. Lori Byron, pediatrician and organizer for the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Chapter Climate Advocates
  • Caleb Minthorn, Umatilla Tribes, National Tribal Air Association, Region 10 Alternate, and member of the NTAA’s Executive Committee
  • Shaina Oliver, state coordinator for Moms Clean Air Force in Colorado, tribal member of the Navajo Nation from Shiprock, New Mexico, and an advocate for Indigenous People’s rights

The discussion will be moderated by Almeta E. Cooper, Moms Clean Air Force’s National Manager for Health Equity.
