A Just Transition: Social and Equity Implications

On November 9, Moms Clean Air Force Colorado will participate in a seminar titled Beyond Fossil Fuels: Just Transition in Colorado and Germany. The event, sponsored by Pocacito and the German Foreign Office, will look at the experience Germany gained from the hard coal exit in the Ruhr Area and ways lessons learned can be applied in Colorado.
Shaina Oliver, Dineh Indigenous rights advocate and Moms Clean Air Force Colorado organizer, will join a panel discussion titled A Just Transition: Social and Equity Implications at 11:15 AM MT. She will discuss the socioeconomic challenges of a just transition with Spremberg Mayor Christine Herntier and Sasha Nelson, Executive Director Workforce Education and Economic Development, Colorado Northwestern Community College.
