DESCRIPTION:On September 30\, Moms Clean Air Force will join the American Lung Association and local Nevada advocates to share how NV Energy’s 2026 Integrated Resource Plan shape Nevada’s energy future\, air quality\, and public health. \nLearn more and RSVP. \nFeatured speakers \nDr. Deb Hendrickson\nAmerican Academy of Pediatrics Climate Advocate\nDr. Hendrickson will discuss how methane gas emissions and fossil fuel pollution impact children’s health\, including respiratory health risks and the disproportionate burden on vulnerable communities. \nCourtney Fieldman and Caitlin Gatchalian\nSouthwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP)\nThe SWEEP team will provide an overview of NV Energy’s 2026 Integrated Resource Plan and explain how the utility’s proposed resource decisions could affect air quality\, energy affordability\, and Nevada’s clean energy future. \nMary Wagner\nNevada Field Organizer\, Moms Clean Air Force\nMary will share practical ways Nevadans can become effective advocates for cleaner air and healthier communities\, with a focus on protecting children and families through civic engagement. \nMelissa Ramos\nSenior Manager\, Clean Air Advocacy\, American Lung Association\nMelissa will present key findings from the latest Nevada State of the Air report\, discuss local air quality challenges\, and outline opportunities for public participation related to NV Energy’s 2026 IRP and proceedings before the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada.
