Samantha Schmitz

Samantha Schmitz

As the Project Manager for DC Events and Policy, Sam coordinates outreach in the DC area in addition to supporting other state organizers and the policy team. Prior to working at Moms Clean Air Force, she worked for the World Resources Institute. She was also a past intern with the Moms team, which gave her experience conducting research, writing blogs, testifying before EPA, writing policy memos, and summarizing congressional hearings.

Sam earned her AB from Harvard University and studied Economics with minors focused on public health and climate change. She is also particularly interested in climate-driven health disparities and the connection between air pollution and sports accessibility. Sam has been featured on Capital News Service, Baltimore Sun, and Fox 5 DC.
