The State of the Air
Through your involvement in Moms Clean Air Force, we are standing together for clean, healthy air. Through Naptime Activism and with the power of your active voices on blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and many other tools, you are helping protect fetuses, infants and toddlers from toxic air pollution.
But as every mom knows, nothing beats sharing a cup of coffee, a laugh, a great conversation, and even a hug. That’s why we are opening chapters of Moms Clean Air Force in several states. We’re hoping parents will start talking to their elected officials about the air they’re sharing. We’re hoping political figures will hear from local pediatricians about the importance of cleaning up air pollution.
We know the power of a face-to-face dialogue, and a handwritten, heartfelt note. We want to say thank you, in person, to the leaders who vote to protect us. We want to share information about how air pollution harms our children. Above all, we want politicians to think about US–real moms, with real children–next time they’re being asked to vote against clean air. We aren’t statistics. We’re living, breathing, loving, people–and we all want the best for our children.
Please contact us about organizing in your state; we’ll do everything we can to support you.
Interested in Joining our Team?
Does your child suffer from asthma? Are you tired of your family’s hard-earned money being used to fight for life-saving clean air regulations? Are you fed up with decision makers who refuse to address our rapidly changing climate?
Moms Clean Air Force is looking for motivated parents who want to take our message and share it with their friends, school, faith community, or local legislators.
Your voice is powerful, your voice is important and Moms Clean Air Force can provide you with the tools to help amplify the message that our children are precious, that their health is too important. We can no longer allow the air we breathe to adversely affect our children and moms, just like you, are joining forces across the United States to demand action.
Please send a short paragraph to our National Field Manager, Gretchen Alfonso, on why clean air is important to you and your family, to email@example.com. Gretchen will connect with you and discuss ways that you can take action in your community. Moms Clean Air Force will then provide you with an Action Toolkit that includes all the materials you need to make a difference.
The Moms Clean Air Force team looks forward to working with you!
