2017 

  • On July 13, 2017, Moms Clean Air Force hosted the fourth annual Play-In for Climate Action in Washington, DC with over 500 families in attendance.
  • In May 2017, Moms Clean Air Force hit over 1,000,000 members! View a video here in celebration of this milestone.
  • On Tuesday, May 2 (World Asthma Day), Moms Clean Air Force and partners installed 770 lunchboxes at Columbus Circle, near Union Station in Washington, DC to raise asthma awareness. Each lunchbox represented 100 children who were missing school that day due to asthma.
  • On Saturday, April 29, Moms Clean Air Force joined over 200,000 people to march in the Peoples Climate March in Washington, DC.
  • On Wednesday, February 15, Moms Clean Air Force hosted a rally at Upper Senate Park in Washington, DC to show opposition to the nomination of Scott Pruitt to head EPA. Speakers included: Senator Tom Carper, Senator Bob Casey, Senator Chris Coons, Senator Brian Schatz, and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse.
  • On Saturday, January 21, Moms Clean Air Force members participated in dozens of Women’s Marches across the country, including the Women’s March on Washington.
  • January 11-12, 2017: Moms Clean Air Force members from nineteen states traveled to Washington, DC to meet with their Senators to urge them to oppose the nomination of Scott Pruitt to head the Environmental Protection Agency.

2016

  • On Wednesday, July 13, Moms Clean Air Force hosted the third annual Play-In for Climate Action at Upper Senate Park in Washington, DC with over 700 kids and parents in attendance from 50 states.
  • June 2016: Moms Clean Air Force field chapters held month-long food drives to message around the impact of climate change on rising grocery costs for American families. Moms Clean Air Force worked with local Food Banks and partners to collect over 4,542 pounds of food nationwide, providing over 3785 meals to children and families in need.
  • April 27, 2016: EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy discussed climate change and children’s health with families in San Francisco.
  • April 12, 2016: EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy discussed climate change and children’s health with families in Nashville.
  • March 31, 2016: Moms Clean Air Force hosted a Read-In of children’s book “Every Breath We Take” with New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan in Concord.
  • March 30, 2016: EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy discussed climate change and children’s health with families in Atlanta.
  • January-February, 2016: Mama Summits held in VA, MD, IL, NC, TN, MT, OH, TX
  • February 9, 2016: Moms Clean Air Force delivered valentines to EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy and the White House.
