We’ve all seen the “hot” headlines associated with each dramatic weather event. Moms Clean Air Force trusts Dr. Heidi Cullen, Climate Central’s chief climatologist and MCAF leadership partner, because she continues to assess the scientific connections between weather and climate change. As Heidi says in her interview with Dominique:

“The “wait and see” approach may seem rational, but it’s incredibly risky. By the time we’re really seeing the full impact of global warming, it is too late to fix it.“

Heidi recently spoke with reporter Dan Harris of ABC News about the finding that 2012 was the warmest year on record in the contiguous U.S. The news segment also focused on the many extreme weather events of 2012, and the role that manmade global warming may have played.

As the scientific data supports, the connection between weather and climate change has become a reality that will affect our children and their children’s future. How we proceed in 2013 will tell us a lot about our planet, our politics, and our children’s clean air prospects.
