The Mother Of All Campaigns

Clean Air = Stable Climate Poster

Congratulations, Mr. President.

Families across the country look forward to working with you to clean our air. Clean air means a stable climate.

You said it best in your acceptance speech: “We want our children to live in an America … that isn’t threatened by the destructive power of a warming planet.”

Now is the time to launch the Mother of All Campaigns–to stop climate change.

Mother Nature became an important player in this election, too big to ignore. Her strategy? Extreme Weather. With Hurricane Sandy, one of the most destructive storms ever to hit America’s shores, climate chaos finally became part of an urgent national—and bipartisan—conversation during elections. Sandy’s fury was fed by warmer oceans, warmer air, more rainfall, higher sea levels—all because of global warming.

Republicans and Democrats reached across floodwaters to send a message: these are the powerful storms of an unstable climate that our families will be suffering through if we do not clean up our air.

Mr President, this election cost an unprecedented amount of money—$2.6 billion. But Sandy way outspent you; she’s costing taxpayers more than $50 billion in damage to major urban infrastructure—and our homes.

Mother Nature is making one thing clear: We mess with her to our peril.

Mothers are also making one thing clear: We ignore climate chaos to our peril.

We have a huge job ahead of us. Daunting. But this is also an exciting, transformative time as well. Cleaning our air of pollutants like mega-doses of carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions will have a huge upside for jobs, for the economy, and for America’s global competitiveness. And most of all: it is good for the health of America’s citizens—and the world’s.

Elections are over. Now it is time for the Mother of all Campaigns—a campaign to save the planet. The stakes are that high. Too big to fail.

We are sending you a message, Mr. President: Please lead the world to climate stability. Give America your best plan to fight climate chaos.

Our campaign promise: we’ll work with you to do whatever it takes to slow down climate chaos.

TELL THE PRESIDENT TO GIVE US A PLAN TO FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE

Please send a copy of your letter to Senator McConnell, Rep. John Boehner, and each and every republican/Tparty member in Congress. They appear to be immune to the pleadings of Americans.
